Journal Watch 6/9/09 – Death and Taxes

The BMJ has thrown up it’s usual mix of obituaries and job offers, but right in the middle death and taxes comes an interesting article on how much doctors of various grades get paid.  Perhaps the most interesting part is the comparison with other professions – the 31 year old lawyer gets £101K per year, but I don’t fancy his hours very much.

Reassuringly the chest consultant tops the scale in this particular article.  It must be Dr Winter’s round.
